Cohomological invariants: exceptional groups and spin groups
These are the notes for a course given at the Université d'Artois in
June 2006. They include the determination of the mod 3 invariants of
F4 (equivalently, Albert algebras), E6 (equivalently,
twisted forms of the norms on Albert algebras), and E7, and the mod
5 invariants of E8. The notes also include unpublished results by
Rost on invariants of spin groups on spaces of dimension at most 14.
