Primitive algebras with PI primitizers
We show that a primitive (resp. *-primitive) associative algebra having a
nonzero PI primitizer (resp. *-primitizer) is necessarily PI. Similarly, a
primitive Jordan algebra having a PI primitizer with nonzero square is PI.
